it & Telephone Upgrade
when we arrived
The Hotel and Apartments were facing a number of potential critical failures where infrastructure was not in place to to transition to NBN, operating systems were well beyond their used by date and hardware failure was a genuine concern. Previous initiatives to address the situation were fragmented and could not secure the internal approval required to proceed.
how we helped
Scoping and prioritisation. Multiple issues with complex inter-dependencies were in play. Firstly an overall understanding of the situation was required in order to develop a business case to secure internal funding.
A detailed business case was developed outlining the recommended end state and the journey to get there including financial outlay, a risk management approach and timeframes. This enabled the board to approve the capital and operating expenditure required for the project.
An overall work program was developed to account for the complex inter-dependencies between the various project streams. Suppliers were re-engaged to meet the new specifications while regular progress updates were issued to project stakeholders throughout the duration of the works. Adequate User Acceptance Testing was built into the process, which also provided the opportunity for user engagement as well as testing functionality.
what was achieved
Modern infrastructure was installed to provide cost effective, reliable platforms for the hotel operating and management systems.
These were completed within the budget and constraints of the the approved capital expenditure approval.
“Mark was able to understand what needed to happen and worked with the management team to successfully deploy the infrastructure upgrade.”
